
The basis of university innovation and competitiveness should be staff, their knowledge, and the results of their scientific activities.
Business Innovation Centre (hereinafter BIC) - an information and communication platform for scientific and innovation infrastructure at LNTU to create an environment for concentrating intellectual capital, generating ideas, new scientific knowledge and technologies. BIC was established in December 2019. The activities of the BIC and interaction with other departments and organizations are provided by:

Mission of the BIC – creating conditions for ensuring the fulfillment of the main tasks of scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activities, provided by the main directions of further development of science and innovation,
coordination of scientific and innovative activities at LNTU and creating a favorable innovation environment to support the introduction of modern environmentally friendly, safe, energy and resource-saving technologies, ensuring the implementation of state policy in the field of technology transfer,
acquisition, protection and protection of intellectual property rights, transfer of property rights to technologies and/or their components created at the expense of the state budget.
Key Objectives of the BIC:
- organization, planning, coordination, control of scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activities at LNTU;
- directing research and development at the departments in priority areas of scientific and innovative activities to ensure innovative development of the region;
- coordination of planning of scientific events at LNTU;
- coordination of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works at LNTU;
- coordination of the All-Ukrainian student Olympiad at LNTU in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
- coordination of the competition for scholarships and awards of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU), the Verkhovna Rada (VR) for young scientists, etc.;
- support for the acquisition and protection of intellectual property rights to the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities;
- dissemination of knowledge on the creation and legal protection of intellectual property objects;
- registration of technologies and promotion of their market entry.
