Eric Putzig, a volunteer lecturer from the United States, studies and explores the concept of democracy. Having travelled to various parts of the world, he has developed his lecture course, which he teaches to Ukrainian students at Lutsk National Technical University (LNTU) and Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
Eight students from LNTU have already completed this six-month program, and now Eric Putzig is looking forward to welcoming new participants interested in taking his course on "Democracy."
Today, the volunteer lecturer met with students from the Faculty of Business and Law and the Faculty of Digital, Educational, and Social Technologies. During the meeting, Eric Putzig shared information about himself, his research, and his volunteer work in various countries, as well as his understanding of democracy, its evolution, and the practical application of its principles across different nations.
He emphasises that democracy is not a static concept—it constantly evolves. What it was centuries ago, what it is today, and what it will become is uncertain. At the same time, democracy varies significantly across countries. However, with a deep understanding of this system of governance, we can build democratic foundations in our own country and become creators of a "government of the people" in our homeland.
Eric Putzig invites everyone interested in learning more about democracy to join his lecture course. He promises engaging conversations, lively discussions, and modern presentations. The course will last six months, with weekly two-hour sessions, and will be lectured in English.
