An international conference called "Ukraine's Experience for Lithuania" was held in the Volyn region, where participants discussed issues related to strengthening the resilience of local communities, developing mechanisms of self-organisation, and fostering responsible leadership in the context of the ongoing war.
The conference was attended by Yurii Roiko, Deputy Head of the Apparatus of the Volyn Regional Council and Regional Council Deputy; Oksana Filipchuk, Head of the Center for Extracurricular Education and Regional Council Deputy; Viacheslav Rubliov, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine; representatives of the Volyn Regional Development Agency; heads of regional public utilities; as well as a foreign delegation from Lithuania and Finland, which included leaders of volunteer and public organisations, as well as representatives of the business community.
As part of the conference, the foreign delegation visited Lutsk National Technical University, where they became acquainted with its educational infrastructure, scientific developments, and student initiatives. The guests appreciated the potential of LNTU as an institution that actively implements international practices, develops partnerships with educational and volunteer organisations, and trains professionals capable of working globally.

During the conference, participants discussed Ukraine's practical experience in strengthening community resilience during wartime, building partnerships, and supporting local self-government. Special attention was given to the role of educational institutions in shaping civic awareness among young people.
Based on the conference outcomes, recommendations will be prepared for Lithuanian and Finnish partners in civil security, local governance, and community development.
