A working group from the Faculty of Architecture, Construction and Design of LNTU is actively working on the structure and content of Module 2 on Building Materials and Technologies within the framework of the international COHER project.
The aim of this module is not only to provide basic knowledge about traditional and innovative building materials and technologies but also to overcome gender stereotypes regarding roles in the construction sector.

The main aspects that will be addressed are teaching the efficient and sustainable use of materials and expanding opportunities for all, regardless of physical abilities or gender.
In focus:
- sustainable development
- challenging gender stereotypes
- accessibility of knowledge
- technical education for empowerment

During the formation of the module and courses, special attention will be paid to the study of:
- material properties
- safe work and ergonomics
- quality control

As for the format, the main emphasis is on lectures, demonstrations, and virtual tours. Cases of successful women in the field of technology and innovation will also be considered.
Together we are changing the approach to construction - sustainably, inclusively, professionally!

The event was held as part of the Construct Her Future (CoHER) Erasmus+ project. The CoHER project is co-funded by the European Union.
