Professor Liubov Dobrovolska from the Department of Electrical Engineering at LNTU and Associate Professor Nadiia Kuts from the Department of Automobile and Transport Technology at LNTU participated in the 13th International Conference "Fire Safety of Tunnels", which took place on September 24–25, 2025, at Prosper Golf Resort Čeladná, Czech Republic.
The invitation to the event was sent by the company K.B.K. fire, s.r.o. and Ing. Petr Bebčák, PhD.
The conference brought together experts from various countries and focused on the following topics:
- Fire safety in tunnels
- European standards for construction and operation
- Integration of innovative solutions
- Development of tunnel construction for transportation
Thanks to the support of K.B.K. fire, s.r.o., the participation of LNTU representatives was made possible, allowing them to establish new international contacts and showcase Ukrainian expertise. The university lecturers shared their developments in tunnel design, power supply, and operational safety.
The participants showed particular interest in research on automatic monitoring and fire suppression of tunnel electrical wiring. The conference concluded with a friendly dinner, providing an excellent opportunity for networking and exchanging experiences.
