Lutsk National Technical University is one of the 10 Ukrainian higher education institutions that are partners of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities for Ukraine (ECIU4Ukraine) project. The ECIU4Ukraine project is funded by the National Academic Exchange Agency (NAWA).
It is a project to support Ukrainian universities in order to involve them in the activities of European universities.
The project aims to involve Ukrainian partners in the activities of a European university by supporting cooperation and academic exchange.
The duration is 12 months (January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023).
On December 8, the project's final conference was held with the participation of invited guests, representatives from the coordinating university and representatives from Ukrainian partner universities.
The honored guests were: Katarzyna Aleksi, Director of the Department of Institutional Programs for Institutions of the National Agency for Academic Exchange; Krzysztof Juzwick, Professor, Rector of the Lodz University of Technology; and Witold Pawlowski, Professor, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs of the Lodz University of Technology.
The participants of the final conference from LNTU were: Nadiya Kovalchuk, First Vice-Rector, Tetiana Korneiko, Project Manager of LNTU, Head of International Relations Department, and Snizhana Martynchuk, Specialist of International Relations Department.
Krzysztof Jóźwiak, Professor, Rector of the Lodz University of Technology, Dorota Piotrowska, Director of the Center for International Cooperation at Lodz University of Technology, and Daria Bobovkina, Head of the ECIU Department at Lodz University of Technology, delivered welcoming remarks.
The partner universities were able to share their experience gained during the project with colleagues and invited guests. The participants spoke about the benefits and challenges that arose during the project implementation, and especially about the valuable knowledge they gained.
Also, during an open discussion on the topic “What can we do for Ukraine now?”, each of the representatives from the Ukrainian partner universities expressed their views on possible ways/measures for future cooperation; they pointed out the critical needs to ensure the quality of educational services that have arisen due to the full-scale invasion.
Katarzyna Aleksi, Director of the Department of Institutional Programs for Institutions of the National Agency for Academic Exchange, expressed support for Ukraine and indicated which areas of activity are the highest priorities for funding by the National Agency for Academic Exchange in 2024.
During the year of the project implementation, the academic community of Lutsk National Technical University received comprehensive support and invaluable experience from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange and Lodz University of Technology.
LNTU received humanitarian support in the form of equipment to ensure the quality of the educational process. The participants of the trainings and workshops within the project gained best practices and new knowledge about modern educational methods and forms. Students who participated in the summer schools had the opportunity to integrate into the European educational environment.
