On December 4-6, at the invitation of the Lodz University of Technology (Republic of Poland), Pavlo Kravchuk, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations, and Olha Hnatiuk, Specialist of the International Relations Department, part-time lecturer at the Department of Foreign and Ukrainian Philology, participated in trainings and workshops on Microqualifications. The events were held within the framework of the project “European Consortium of Innovative Universities for Ukraine” (ECIU4Ukraine) with the funds of the National Agency for Academic Exchange of the Republic of Poland NAWA.

The team of participants actively immersed themselves in the process of studying the concept of microqualifications, the experience of their successful implementation in Australia and Ireland, the challenges and conditions for their introduction in the Republic of Poland. The invited speakers and trainers willingly shared their knowledge in this matter, namely: Dr. Dorota Piotrowska, Director of the Center for International Cooperation of the Lodz University of Technology, Dr. Andrea Brose, Head of the Center for Teaching and Learning at the Hamburg University of Technology, Janet Frizzarin, consultant and expert on strategic changes in higher education from Ireland, Joanna Milosz-Bartczak, educational designer and trainer of teachers at the Lodz University of Technology.

In addition to intensive trainings and workshops on micro-qualifications, during the third day of the mobility, all representatives from 10 Ukrainian universities joined the active mastery of the Challenge-based learning methodology. Joanna Milosz-Bartczak not only explained the concept of this type of learning, but also involved the entire team in its design, application and implementation based on the idea of Smart Education.

In general, the trip was active, interesting, useful and very informative.
