Faculty of Business and Law

ABOUT THE FACULTY – The history of the establishment and development of the Faculty of Business and Law dates back to the mid-1990s, when, by the decision of the Academic Council of the Lutsk Industrial Institute (LII) dated January 26, 1995 (Minutes No. 5), a report was considered and approved on the prospects for organizing an economics faculty within the institute. Thus, the creation of an economics faculty within the structure of the Volyn Technical Higher Education Institution officially dates back to January 27, 1995 (LII Order No. 9 dated January 31, 1995).

In 1998, two economic faculties were established based on the faculty - the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Accounting and Finance. In 2005, the Faculty of Economics and Management was renamed the Faculty of Business. In 2021, the Faculty of Business and Law was established due to the merger of the Faculty of Finance, Accounting, Linguistics and Law.

The first dean of the faculty was Liubov Lipych (1995-2005). Further development of the faculty was carried out under the leadership of the following deans: Iryna Vakhovych (2005-2008), Taras Bozhydarnik (2008-2015), Nadiia Kovalchuk (2015-2020), Iryna Kaminska (2021-2022). Since 2022, the faculty has been headed by Doctor of Economics, Professor Liubov Kovalska.

THE MISSION OF THE FACULTY is to form competitive specialists in the labour market, strong-willed individuals, resistant to the stress and crisis challenges of today, focused on success, able to create, experiment and implement ideas, establish productive communication, satisfy professional ambitions and form their financial independence.
