Students of Lutsk NTU had an excursion at Yagodyn customs
Students and teachers of Commodity Science and Customs Expertise Departments visited the Volyn Customs of the State Customs Service the international checkpoint "Yagodyn". The tour was organized with the assistance of Petro Savchuk - the Acting Rector of Lutsk NTU, Nadiya Kovalchuk - the Dean of Business Faculty and Iryna Vakhovych - the Chairman of the Regional Council.
Students had a look at the main specifics of the work of the customs control and customs clearance of goods and commercial vehicles of foreign trade entities and citizens. They also had the opportunity to go through the stages of export-import customs formalities, visited the customs control zone of the international checkpoint and watched the procedures of inspection, weighing, risk assessment, determination of customs value of goods.
The future customs officers were actively interested in the functions, management structure of countering customs offenses, the analytical control using automated systems and analysis of the operational situation, learned about the exchange of information between customs authorities of other countries under the Association Agreement with the EU. The students and officials of the customs service discussed on the legislation of Ukraine on the state of customs regulation.
