The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal) has been a reliable partner for LNTU for a long time. During this time, we managed to build strong friendly relations, implement a number of promising developments and establish sustainable cooperation.

It is extremely pleasant and valuable to feel the support of our partners in times of military resistance to Russian aggression. We feel support not only in words but also in real actions carried out by foreign colleagues with a sincere desire to help.

Tetiana Korin, an LNTU student in Building and Civil Engineering speciality, who is currently studying under the double degree program at IPB, shares how Portugal supports Ukraine:

"The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and its lecturers are very loyal to Ukrainians, so they support our state as much as possible in difficult times. The president of IPB and the director of the course rallied students from Ukraine studying here and offered us their help, asking if our family or friends need any support. In addition, in case of necessity, they offer financial assistance."

The girl adds that teachers ask with great care about the situation in Ukraine and the conditions of our cities, and they actively participate in support actions.

"A few days ago, we held an action in support of Ukraine, which was attended by the President of IPB and the institution's authorities, lecturers and foreign students. We lit candles for peace in Ukraine, sang songs and pronounced the phrase "Peace without winners and losers" in different languages, - says Tetiana Korin.

Our student is also a volunteer in the city of Porto, where the caring people are working to collect necessary things, household items, medicines and food for Ukrainians. Several cars with the aid collected at the university have already been sent to our country. In addition, the university management is working on the creation of a suitable program so that students from Ukrainian higher education institutions could come to study at the University of Braganza on a free basis, and lecturers with English language knowledge could work at IPB.
