In January of this year, the Lutsk National Technical University and the German Akkon University of Human Sciences signed an Agreement of International Cooperation. Both sides are interested in the training of scientific and pedagogical staff, exchange of students, conducting scientific and technical activities, joint research, preparation of publications and various projects.
At the invitation of our partners, on October 14, 2023, the head of the Department of Civil Security Valentyna Fedorchuk-Moroz, a student Viktoriia Pavliv and a student Kateryna Martyniuk visited Akkon University of Human Sciences, where they took part in the work of the 5th International Young Researchers' Symposium on Global Health in a mixed format. Young scientists from Germany, Ukraine, Georgia, Ghana, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Philippines, USA/Antigua, and Yemen highlighted a kaleidoscope of global health challenges and opportunities at this event.
Thanks to Akkon University of Human Sciences, the LNTU team had the opportunity to visit the prestigious WorldHealth Summit, which was held on October 15-17, 2023 in Berlin. About 3,100 participants from 106 countries took part in the work of the summit. The World Health Summit 2023 joined together interested representatives of politics, science, business and civil society from all regions of the world.
At the event, which was held under the patronage of Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, President of France Emmanuel Macron and Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, speakers and participants discussed new global health strategies under the motto "A Defining Year for Global Health Action” and set the agenda for a healthier future.

Dr. PH Timo Ulrichs, Director IRIA, Head of the Department International Emergency and Disaster Relief and Global Health, Vice President Akkon University, and project coordinator, Co-Head IRIA, Research Associate Projects Yemen HSSP III, Ukraine and Indonesia, Gaby Feldmann for the opportunity to participate in the World Health Summit 2023 and the 5th International Symposium of Young Scientists on Global Health and to present the results of scientific work at the international level.
