DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF EDUCATION IN UKRAINE AND MOLDOVA: THE SECOND DIGITRANS MEETING

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece hosted on April 11-12, 2024 in Psachna, the second meeting and a workshop within the DIGITRANS project, marking the significant progress made in the "Digital Transformation of HEIs Educational Process in Ukraine and Moldova for a Sustainable Engagement with Enterprises". Representatives from partner institutions in Ukraine, Moldova, and Greece, including the Technical University of Moldova, advocated for further collaboration and advancing the project to a new stage.

With a strong focus on sustainable impact and industry engagement, the DIGITRANS project focuses on modernizing the education systems in Ukraine and Moldova by integrating innovative digital strategies into the teaching and learning process. The main goal is to cultivate graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the labor market, contributing to sustainable economic development.

The meeting provided a valuable platform for the exchange of best practices and ideas between partners. Studies and reports on curricula adapted to the needs of the labor market were presented, guidelines for the creation of online courses were discussed, and the overall progress of the project was analyzed, including for essential equipment.

A central element of the DIGITRANS project is the effective integration of digital technologies into the teaching and learning process. The use of the online platform, digital resources and innovative teaching methods will facilitate access to quality education, improve student learning experiences, and provide comprehensive preparation for graduates for the current challenges of the job market.

In addition to fruitful discussions and presentations, participants had the opportunity to participate in study visits to higher education institutions in Greece, getting familiar with a concrete example of successful digital integration. These valuable experiences will contribute to defining future strategies and optimizing the implementation of the DIGITRANS project.

The DIGITRANS project is a significant step in the modernization of education in Ukraine and Moldova. Through close collaboration between partner institutions, the integration of innovative digital strategies and a focus on the active involvement of industries, the project has the potential to generate sustainable impact, preparing graduates to contribute to prosperous economic growth for both countries.

The event was attended by representatives from Riga Technical University of Latvia, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece, "Dunărea de Jos" University from Galați Romania, National Technical University from Chernihiv, National Automobile and Road University in Kharkiv, National Technical University from Lutsk, Technical University of Moldova, "Alecu Russo" State University in Bălți, "B. P. Hasdeu" State University in Cahul, and ICS "Draxlmaier Automotive" SRL.
