Lutsk National Technical University started cooperation with INTI International University (Malaysia) in December 2021. Then, during the official online signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, the institutions agreed on teaching English language courses, on joint research projects, on inviting teachers as Visiting Professors and more.
However, the full-scale invasion of russia on the territory of Ukraine in February 2022 stopped the development of on-site cooperation between universities.
In 2022, IELTS Training Course speaking remote classes were organized. The training, offered by INTI University, provided a free basis for the first hundred registered participants from different parts of the world. Students and lecturers of LNTU also received a free opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills.

However, the authorities of both universities are confident in the effectiveness of joint work. Therefore, the Rector of LNTU Iryna Vakhovych and the First Vice-Rector Nadiia Kovalchuk were invited by INTI International University to take part in the Visiting Scholar programme in September 2023. Among the participants of this programme were representatives of universities from Indonesia, Vietnam, the Maldives, India, and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the week-long internship, at meetings with faculty management and students, the large-scale invasion of russia on the territory of Ukraine was repeatedly emphasized. LNTU delegation talked a lot about Ukraine and the struggle of the Ukrainian people against the aggressor.
Besides, our authority took part in the International Conference "6th International Conference on Innovation and Technopreneurship 2023 (ICIT 2023).
On the results of the internship, decisions were made concerning:
⁃ online teaching of the English language course by INTI International University professors for students and lecturers;
⁃ carrying out joint scientific research and obtaining funding for publications in journals included in the Scopus scientific-metric database;
⁃ inviting 10 representatives from each university under the Visiting Professor program;
⁃ joint PhD programmes between INTI International University and LNTU.
Moreover, the LNTU delegation had the opportunity to conclude the Memorandum of Understanding with Ahlia University, Bahrain. Rector Iryna Vakhovych outlined the areas of cooperation with Ahlia University, according to which scientists of LNTU get new possibilities to publish the results of scientific research in journals included in the Scopus database.
While on the Visiting Scholar programme at the university, it is impossible not to see the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, experience the peculiarities of Asian cuisine and traditions and visit historical and cultural places.
