LNTU graduate and confectioner technologist Iryna OLEKSYN gave a guest lecture as part of studying the discipline "Innovative technologies of food production and restaurant industry" for students of the educational and professional programme of the second (master's) level of higher education "Food technology and restaurant industry. The event took place within the framework of the project "Acceleration of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Excellence in Higher Education Institutions" (AccEnt Project).

During the lecture, the speaker familiarized students and lecturers with the intricacies of confectionery production and told them about the stages of development and introduction to the manufacturing of new confectionery products of improved quality. The expert emphasized that a pastry technologist must constantly follow the trends in confectionery production, learn new techniques, use innovative ingredients and skillfully combine them in recipes to create confectionery products with new flavours that would be in demand among consumers with different taste preferences.
