On September 27, the annual Startup Campus conference was held in Kyiv. The event was organized within the framework of the YEP initiative "Entrepreneurial University", implemented together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, EEPO, Diia.Business, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ukrainian Startup Fund, Genesis with the support of USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine.
The participants of the conference were LNTU scientists involved in the "Entrepreneurial University" initiative, Yurii Lukianchuk, Olena Surynovych, Oksana Polinkevych and Mykola Rudynets.
In 2020-23, 96 universities, 220 teachers and more than 14,000 students joined the initiative, confirming the huge potential of university entrepreneurship in Ukraine.
This year's Startup Campus was dedicated to the development of innovation in the academic environment and the commercialization of university scientific developments. It collected practical cases of Ukrainian and foreign experts and raised important topics at panel discussions.
Among the speakers of the event were:
- Mykhailo Fedorov (Ukraine) – Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology of Ukraine – Minister for Digital Transformation of Ukraine;
- Olena Donets (Israel) – co-founder and CEO of Spyre Group, ex-director of the startup accelerator of Tel Aviv University;
- Barry Katz – a Professor at Stanford University;
- Lewis Sheats – Director at Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship at Saint Louis University
