LNTU scientists took part in the intensive five-day training "Enhancing Higher Education", which took place at the Swedish Royal Institute KTH within the framework of the project "Boosting the role of HEIs in the industrial transformation towards the Industry 4.0 paradigm in Georgia and Ukraine" Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE: 2020 - 2023.
From October 16 to 20, 2023, representatives of Ukrainian, Georgian, Portugese, Nigerian, and German universities have been learning the experience of the Swedish largest university - KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
LNTU was presented by a delegation consisting of the Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical Work and Research, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Olena LIUTAK, Dean of the Faculty of Customs, Materials and Technologies, PhD, Prof. Valentyna TKACHUK, Head of the Department of Materials Science, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Mykola MELNYCHUK (project coordinator) and specialist of the Department for Quality Assurance of Educational Process, Licensing and Accreditation, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Assoc. Prof. of the Department of Digital Educational Technologies Yuliia MELNYCHUK.
According to the program of the event, the participants got acquainted with the peculiarities of the educational process at KTH and ways of improving the quality of education both at the state level and at the level of teaching individual courses and disciplines. A significant part of the event was focused on the need to implement the concept of sustainable development in education and teaching. The trainings did not omit the issue of digitalization of higher education, as well as rethinking approaches to training engineers. An important focus of the trainings was the topic of increasing the effectiveness of teaching educational courses without increasing the load on the lecturer, as well as the need for correct assessment and analysis of feedback from students. Work on each topic was accompanied by intensive workshops.
The participants were also able to meet with the KTH campus and the local culture.
All the participants have received the certificates of attendance and gained new knowledge, experience and a vision of their implementation at the Lutsk National Technical University.
