Structural support of Ukrainian Universities in Upkeep and rebuilding of higher education activities in the field of Resources and Technology – SUUUpoRT

Technical University Freiberg Mining Academy (TU Bergakademie Freiberg) in Freiberg (Germany) together with partners launched a program of online courses for distance learning in English. Participation in courses is free for students and teachers of Ukrainian higher education institutions.

TU Bergakademie Freiberg wants to contribute to the support of universities in Ukraine. The aim is to compensate for the lack of courses caused by the loss of the necessary infrastructure on the one hand and the lack of staff on the other, thus ensuring the continuation of learning and teaching. SUUpoRT is one of seven projects funded by the Fund for Innovation in Higher Education. The purpose of the special funding program "Education and teaching. Focus Ukraine" is the creation of university teaching, learning and support programs for students from Ukraine who would like to temporarily continue their studies digitally or in person at a university in Germany. Additionally, Ukrainian scientists and university employees may be involved in the projects that will be financed. Networking between students and scientists is also supported.

TU Bergakademie Freiberg wants to strengthen the Ukrainian system of higher education and make it more attractive so that Ukrainian students remain in the system of their country. A strong higher education system is an integral part of the infrastructure that is fundamental to Ukraine's recovery efforts.
