The Department of Food Technologies and Chemistry was established on February 1, 2024, based on the Department of Technologies and Equipment of Processing Industries by the decision of the Academic Council of the Lutsk National Technical University (protocol No. 5 dated December 28, 2023) and the order of the Rector of LNTU (No. 433/01-02 dated December 30, 2023). The department acts as part of the Faculty of Customs, Materials and Technologies.

Наші студенти щороку беруть активну участь в студентських конференціях, конкурсах та олімпіадах, вони є призерами всеукраїнських студентських олімпіад: І. Ковальчук (ІІІ місце, 2007 р.), М. Матвійчук (ІІ місце, 2010 р.), К. Цизь (ІІ місце, 2011 р., ІІІ місце, 2012 р.), І. Киричук (ІІІ місце, 2011 р.), С. Тарасюк (ІІ місце, 2013 р.), Л. Козел (ІІ місце, 2016 р.), В. Сорочук (ІІІ місце, 2018 р.), Н. Поліщук (ІІІ місце, 2019 р.), Р. Богданович (ІІІ місце, 2019 р.). Кваліфікаційні роботи студентів Л. Поліщук (2008 р.), О. Демидюк (2011 р.) та Т. Янко (2016 р.) одержали дипломи переможців у конкурсах дипломних проєктів із спеціальності “Обладнання переробних і харчових виробництв”. У всеукраїнських конкурсах на кращу магістерську роботу науково-практичного спрямування із спеціальності “Обладнання переробних і харчових виробництв” кращими визнані роботи Р. Дужук (2011 р.), Н. Матвійчук (2012 р.), І. Киричук (2013 р.), М. Поліщук (2014 р.), І. Дудко (2016 р.) та В. Кравчук (2017 р.).
Колектив кафедра пишається випускницями Л. Забродоцькою, І. Киричук, Ю. Муравинець, Л. Поліщук та К. Цизь, які після закінчення аспірантури успішно захистили кандидатські дисертації.
Випускники кафедри поповнили трудові колективи ПрАТ “Волиньхолдінг”, ПАТ “Луцьк-Фудз”, ПрАТ “Гнідавський цукровий завод”, ДП “Луцький спиртогорілчаний комбінат”, ПАТ “ТЕРЕМНО ХЛІБ” та інші.
The purpose of the international activities of the Department of Technologies and Equipment of Processing Industries is to increase the efficiency of cooperation with higher educational institutions-partners, to search for, study and apply the best foreign experience in scientific research and educational and methodological work, to expand the mobility of scientific and pedagogical workers and students, to adapt to European and world standards while preserving the best achievements of national education, improving the image of the department and the Lutsk National Technical University in Ukraine and beyond.
The main areas of activity of the department in international cooperation are:
- involving scientific and pedagogical workers, masters and postgraduate students to participate in international projects;
- cooperation with international educational institutions;
- teaching for foreign citizens;
- organization of internships, professional development of department teachers;
- use of international experience in scientific, educational and methodological and cultural and educational work;
- promoting scientific cooperation with foreign colleagues.
The scientific potential of the department is constantly growing due to annual participation in international scientific conferences. The teachers of the department work fruitfully in the scientific and research direction, which is evidenced by abstracts of reports and scientific articles published in foreign publications.
The Department of International Relations of the Lutsk National Technical University has established cooperation with the Lublin Academy of Agriculture and the Lublin Polytechnic (Lublin, Poland), the Braganza Polytechnic Institute (Braganza, Portugal) and other foreign higher education institutions and research institutions.
